Escape from Nicotine Country: How to
Stop Smoking Painlessly, published by Prometheus Books,
1999, will sponsor its 7th annual smoking cessation support
presentation along with the "Funeral for the Unknown
Smoker." Addictions recovery author and former 30 year
smoker Jim Christopher will give a brief
presentation of the "Escape from Nicotine Country" smoking
cessation support approach and answer questions
following his talk. "The Smoker's Body," a grotesque poster
(courtesy COLORS Magazine) will be displayed in a
casket onstage and former smokers will share stories of
triumph in recovery from nicotine addiction.
Come join
us for an open, informal meeting where folks who've stopped
smoking will offer support and inspiration while others who
want to quit can learn how to do so painlessly, without
weight gain.
