11:25 AM to ensure your seat on the bus. Parking is
available in our lot, and in the Barnsdall Art Park
lot located across Hollywood Blvd. Doors open at
10:30 for continental breakfast.
Due to the overwhelming response for the Griffith
Park Observatory tour on Jan. 6, we have reached the
current reservation limit. If you would like to be
added to a standby list, please email or call us. We
will contact you as soon as possible if there are
openings or additional information.
Join CFI staff and guests for a special group tour
of the greatly expanded Griffith Observatory. We'll
meet at the Center for Inquiry-L.A. for a
continental breakfast from 11-11:30 am, then take a
chartered bus to the observatory where we'll provide
astronomers to guide us through the observatory.
You'll have plenty of time to explore on have lunch
on your own at the Wolfgang Puck restaurant with its
spectacular view of Los Angeles. You can see the
Tesla coil in action, look through the camera obscura and the solar telescope, visit the Leonard
Nimoy Event Horizon Theater, and follow Foucault's
Pendulum as it traces the earth's rotation - and
much more.
Cost
for the excursion is $25 and includes a ticket
to the planetarium show, transportation to and from
the observatory, continental breakfast, and guides.
Members and students who purchase tickets in
advance pay only $19.
