CFI-West's FEED YOUR BRAIN Lecture Series presents

Victor Stenger

God: The Failed Hypothesis
How Science Shows That God Does Not Exist

Sunday, July 15
11 a.m. in Hollywood, 4:30 p.m. in Costa Mesa
*

Religious apologists have sought to use science to support the existence of God. To answer such arguments, Victor Stenger wrote a book in 2003, Has Science Found God?, which critiqued contemporary claims that science supports the existence of God, and found them inadequate.

In his recent bestseller, God: The Failed Hypothesis, Dr. Stenger goes even further to argue that empirical science makes a strong case against the existence of the Judaic-Christian-Islamic God. Stenger makes the case that not only does the universe show no evidence for God, it looks exactly as it would be expected to look if there is no God.

Stenger, Who received his Ph.D. in 1963 from UCLA, is emeritus professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Hawaii, and adjunct professor of philosophy at the University of Colorado. Copies of his book will be available for purchase and signing.

*This lecture will be repeated at 4:30 p.m. in Costa Mesa at the Costa Mesa Community Center, 1845 Park Ave. map
