The accuracy of the U.S. voting system was called into question following the voting controversies surrounding the 2000 and 2004 Presidential elections. Documentary filmmaker John Wellington Ennis illuminates the problems concerning this prime aspect of our democracy with his new documentary, Free for All, which will be screened at this event. Following the film, Ennis will be joined by Steven Hill, director of the Political Reform Program at the New America Foundation, who will discuss political reform in light of voting system problems, and Brad Friedman, publisher and editor of THE BRAD BLOG who investigates voting irregularities. Ennis attended USC and NYU film schools and teaches documentary film at the UCLA Extension. Hill is the author if the book, 10 Steps to Repair American Democracy. Copies of that book will be for sale. Friedman’s blog is at www.BradBlog.com. $6, or free for Friends of the Center.
